The dog looks like the one that hangs around my house at different times...I heard the owner lives behind the American Legend here in town....very friendly dog....Celia Follmar
See if the dog comes to the name Shadow
Funny that you would mention the name Shadow because that's the name that I felt was fitting and actully called the dog by this name, but it didn't respond. LOL
I have moved to Whitestown last year and really enjoy living in the area. I am, however, extremely concerned at the lack of concern when it comes to following dog control ordinances (do we have any?) We have a neighbor with at least 5 dogs and a litter of puppies who has no control of these animals and they run with out restrition in subdivision. I have called the police many times and nothing has improved. Unfortunately the learning curve for this situation is probably going to be an accident or injury. Thanks for letting me share my experience. I hope this guy finds his way back home!

HE IS NOT SHADOW, SHADOW IS MUCH OLDER WITH LIGHTER FUR
THERE ARE VERY FEW THINGS THE POLICE CAN DO WITH THE DOGS, THEY ARE NOT ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICERS, WHAT WOULD THEY DO WITH THEM ,RIDE AROUND IN THE CAR, THEY HAVE NO POUND. THEY HAVE NO TOOLS TO CATCH DOGS, ALL THEY CAN DO IS WRITE TICKETS, THEY HAVE WRITTEN TICKETS TO OTHERS SEE WHITESTOWN -VS- ZIMMER FOR THE SAME THING.
There is an Ordinance on the books requiring all dogs be registered and tagged. Done at Town Hall. It requires proof of vacination and also the Town Ordinance has requirements in it about dogs not allowed to roam free etc... It is Ordinance #2006-23
It is actually 2006-26, but you are correct otherwise.
The owner has come forward to claim this beautiful dog, and he will be going home.
I am glad this guy's story has a happy ending!
